Nothing can be hotter than beautiful lips - not the kind that looks weird and "ducky" that some of our Hollywood stars are sporting nowadays. Who wants to pay to look odd anyways?
But lips with nice natural looking, youthful appearing volume would be great for Valentines. I tell my patients that the women with lips that you can point out and say "she had hers done" are the unfortunate victims of poor work by the physician. When administered artfully and skillfully, these fillers will give beautifully, and perfectly done lips which will blend in with your face and just enhance your overall beauty - not change the way you look. Most of the time no one will be able to really tell you had your lips done翹but be prepared for compliments like "You look good" or "You look younger" because nothing rejuvenates the face more than the great lips!
Most patients want hot lips especially around Valentines. Maybe because we are feeling sexier or at least we WANT to feel sexier and nothing can give this to us more instantly than having our lips plumped - even just a little. Angelina may have fueled this lip plumping craze which created an amazing variety of topical lip plumpers. All of these topical products are mild irritants causing something like a controlled, mild allergy in the lips (so your lips swell a little for a short period of time). Results from these products are subtle at best and obviously temporary.
So for those who want more significant results that will last 6-9 months (or longer if you are one of those lucky ones) injectable fillers like Restylane or Juvederm is the way to go. Also if you have those pesky smoker's lines, or more advance wrinkling of the lips, forget the topical lip plumpers, the injectable fillers can dramatically and instantly make you love your lips again!
