* Use cosmetic products that don't contain any oil. Oil build-up is one of the main causes of this disease, so you need to use only oil-free products. There are many cosmetics and other beauty products available that are designed to prevent the blockage of the skin's pores.

* Don't touch or pop the pimples, because you may cause scars or marks on the skin and damage the sebaceous glands. What is more, your fingers are covered with unnatural oils and bacteria and you may cause an infection.

* Wash your hair regularly. People who have oily hair may need to wash their hair every day.

* Reduce Stress: although stress does not cause this problem directly, there seems to be a link between feelings of stress and acne breakouts. Every time you undergo stress, your body releases certain hormones, such as cortisol. Cortisol causes your perception to become sharper, your heart rate to become faster and your skin to secrete more sebum. After that, sebum ends up at the skin's surface and combined with dead skin cells, forms a layer that blocks the pores and leads to pimples.
