Several confectionery products, primarily chocolate based, are using GABA (Gamma amino butyric acid) as a key ingredient. The benefit of this for the product company is that they can capitalize on the present popularity of GABA and GABA supplements to promote sales, and the consumer benefits from getting an extra dose of GABA from the product. It remains to be seen just how beneficial a GABA supplement can be.
